Muon Space Inc. secured $250 million in Series C funding to accelerate satellite production and develop orbital AI computing capabilities.
Muon Space Inc. closed a $250 million Series C funding round led by Eclipse Capital, with participation from Google and Salesforce Ventures LLC. The Mountain View-based startup has now raised more than $386 million in total equity funding, which it will use to scale satellite production and advance orbital AI computing.
The company recently opened a California manufacturing facility capable of producing hundreds of satellites annually and unveiled the Condor-Ultra spacecraft platform for use in orbital data centers. Muon Space is currently executing a $45 million contract for the US Space Force's Space Systems Command and projects over $10 billion in future business from NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Chief Executive Officer Jonny Dyer stated the company is preparing for a potential public offering as early as next year, though an IPO in 2027 is considered unlikely. Joe Fath of Eclipse Capital noted that the company's operational delivery provided the confidence necessary to lead the investment round.
