Israeli Forces Order 47 Palestinian Families to Evacuate
Israeli forces issued a 24-hour eviction ultimatum to 47 Palestinian families in Ras al-Ahmar following a 27-day military blockade.
Israeli forces issued a 24-hour ultimatum on October 11, 2026, ordering 47 Palestinian families in the Ras al-Ahmar community to leave their homes in the northern occupied West Bank. The order follows a 27-day blockade during which the military closed the final remaining access route to the community located southeast of Tubas.
Residents report that restrictions have intensified over the last three years. The military recently dug a trench across the last access road, effectively surrounding the area with walls, trenches, and military zones.
Hassan Mleihat, head of the Palestinian rights group Al-Baydar, stated that the ultimatum has heightened fears regarding the residents' ability to protect their land and livelihoods. He called for urgent international intervention to end the blockade.
