Toyota Recalls 105,794 Land Cruiser Hybrids Over Fire Risk
Toyota is recalling over 105,000 Land Cruiser Hybrid SUVs due to a faulty fuel-tube connection that could cause fuel leaks and increase fire risks.
Toyota is recalling 105,794 Land Cruiser Hybrid SUVs from the 2024 through 2026 model years, though some reports indicate the recall may extend to 2027 vehicles. The action follows 23 field reports and 64 warranty claims regarding a faulty fuel-tube connection near the gas tank.
A retaining clip joining a resin fuel tube to a metal one may lift or go missing, which can cause the connection to separate and leak fuel. If this leak reaches an ignition source, it increases the risk of fire. The automaker estimates that approximately 1 percent of the affected vehicles carry the defect.
Dealers will inspect the connection and either install a supplemental clamp or replace the resin fuel tube entirely at no cost to the owner. Notification letters are expected to be mailed to owners between November 29 and December 13, 2026.
