IN-SPACe Chairman Pawan Goenka stated at the India Space Congress that the initial public offering of SpaceX is expected to motivate Indian private space companies and investors to take larger risks and increase participation in the domestic space sector. He identified the industry, government, and investors as the three critical pillars required to expand the ecosystem.
Goenka credited government policy reforms, subsidies, and financial incentives for creating a favorable environment for private industry growth. He noted that these efforts have enabled companies to provide technology and resources effectively.
Regarding domestic operations, Goenka announced that Skyroot Aerospace is preparing for its next launch, which will be followed by a subsequent mission from Agnikul Cosmos. Official dates for these upcoming private launches have not yet been announced.
