Home Bargains Recalls Toy Story Bottles and Lay's Crisps

The Office for Product Safety and Standards and the Food Standards Agency issued safety recalls on August 6, 2026, for two products sold at Home Bargains stores in the United Kingdom.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards issued an urgent recall for the TJ Morris Toy Story water bottle, sold since May 2026, after determining the product does not meet the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. The agency warned that the bottle's spout can detach from the lid, creating a small part that could block a child's airway and cause them to choke. Affected batch codes include 11449732, 11449736, 11449737, 11449738, 11449742, 11449743, and 11449744.

Simultaneously, the Food Standards Agency issued a recall for Lay's Sour Cream & Dill Crisps (125g packets) with best before dates up to October 31. ASR Solutions Ltd initiated the recall after a labelling error omitted milk and wheat (gluten), posing a risk to consumers with allergies.

Home Bargains is offering full refunds for both products at its local stores. The retailer advised customers to check batch codes on the water bottle packaging swing tags and internal care labels, noting that those unsure if their bottle is impacted should still return it for a refund.
