Samsung Launches Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra
Samsung Electronics released the Galaxy Z Fold8 and the first-ever Z Fold8 Ultra, featuring new form factors and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processors.
Samsung Electronics expanded its foldable lineup with the release of the Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. Both devices utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform and support 120 Hz refresh rates across their displays.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 features a 5.4-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch internal display. It is equipped with 12 GB of RAM, a 4,800 mAh battery, and an Armor Aluminum frame with titanium internal layers. The device runs One UI 9.0 based on Android 17 and introduces a contextual AI feature called Now Nudge. It is available in New Zealand in Lavender, Graphite, Cream, and Pistachio colors.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra introduces the first Ultra branding to the Fold series, featuring a thinner, squarer design. It boasts a larger 8-inch inner display and a 6.5-inch cover display, paired with a 5,000 mAh battery and a triple-camera system led by a 200MP primary sensor. While noted for its performance, the Ultra model has a protruding camera module that causes wobbling on flat surfaces and a stereo speaker configuration that creates a subtle audio bias on the left side when used in landscape mode.
