Saudi Arabia Signs Seven Energy Deals With Global Partners

Saudi Arabia signed seven memoranda of understanding with regional and international partners to expand cooperation in oil, gas, renewable energy, and clean hydrogen.

Saudi Arabia expanded its global energy partnerships through seven memoranda of understanding signed between October 11 and 12. Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, the Saudi Minister of Energy and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, first signed three agreements with energy ministers from Kuwait, Qatar, and Egypt to strengthen regional energy security and market integration.

The regional deals focus on diverse sectors: Kuwait will collaborate on electricity and smart grids; Qatar will partner on oil, gas, and clean hydrogen pipeline projects; and Egypt will focus on crude oil trade and the liberalization of the liquefied petroleum gas sector.

Following these regional agreements, Saudi Arabia signed four additional MoUs in Riyadh during the 25th WPC Energy Congress with Mongolia, Tanzania, Cyprus, and Mauritius. These international partnerships cover oil, gas, petrochemicals, and clean hydrogen, with a shared emphasis on cybersecurity and digital transformation. Specific initiatives include securing refined petroleum product supplies for Tanzania and coordinating international policies on plastic pollution and climate change with Cyprus and Mauritius.
