GMI Cloud CEO Criticizes CoreWeave High Bond Yields
GMI Cloud CEO Alex Yeh called CoreWeave's 15% bond yield insane, citing a competitive funding advantage for AI infrastructure firms operating in Asia.
Chief Executive Officer of GMI Cloud Alex Yeh characterized the 15% yield on bonds issued by CoreWeave Inc. as "insane" during an interview on Thursday. Yeh contrasted this high cost of capital with a 3.45% rate GMI Cloud secured on a recent Taiwan dollar loan.
Yeh argued that AI infrastructure companies operating in Asia maintain a competitive advantage over Western competitors. He attributed this edge to cheaper capital and faster execution enabled by proximity to Asian supply chains, particularly as investor concerns drive up funding costs for firms in the West.
