Iren Shares Recover Slightly After 55 Percent Monthly Drop
Iren shares saw a slight recovery Thursday after losing 55 percent of their value over the past month amid concerns over data center spending.
Iren shares experienced a slight recovery on Thursday following a severe selloff that erased 55 percent of the stock's value over the previous month. This volatility included a 17 percent decline during Thursday's session alone.
The neocloud company, which specializes in renting artificial-intelligence computing capacity, reported its September quarter results and announced a new cloud-computing deal. To address investor concerns, Iren stated that a significant portion of its backlog is tied to "investment-grade counterparties."
The stock's decline reflects broader investor skepticism regarding the sustainability of spending on data centers. This trend has also impacted similar companies in the sector, such as CoreWeave.
