Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Denies Marriage Rumors Involving European Royalty
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Pakistan Peoples Party have dismissed viral social media claims that the party chairman is engaged to European royalty.
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and its chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, have repeatedly denied viral social media rumors claiming he is engaged or married to a woman from European royalty. Initial reports suggested Bhutto Zardari was planning to marry a woman from Vaduz, Liechtenstein, and later claimed he was attending an engagement ceremony in Austria with a descendant of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine.
Speculation intensified after President Asif Ali Zardari traveled to Austria on a private visit. While some PPP sources suggested a formal announcement would follow if a matter were finalized, official spokespeople rejected the claims. Murtaza Wahab, the Mayor of Karachi and spokesperson for Bhutto Zardari, described the reports as incorrect and unfounded, stating that no marriage or nikah had occurred.
Bhutto Zardari eventually addressed the rumors directly, stating he does not know a Princess Gloria. He criticized the online speculation as a spectacle intended to divert public attention from national issues and clarified that no match has been finalized nor has he become engaged.
