Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami detailed infrastructure projects to transform border areas into Vibrant Villages while celebrating Diwali with Garhwal Rifles soldiers.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami celebrated Diwali with soldiers of the Garhwal Rifles at their training ground in Dehradun. During the event, Dhami detailed the state's strategy to transform border regions into Vibrant Villages by constructing roads, bridges, tunnels, and optical fiber networks.
Dhami stated that these infrastructure projects improve connectivity and armed forces mobility, reversing decades of inaction where road construction was avoided to prevent enemy entry. He highlighted the development of Mana village as India's first village and the construction of roads leading to Gunji and Lipulekh.
To further develop these border zones, the Chief Minister discussed the organization of high-altitude marathons in the Niti and Malari regions. He asserted that these efforts ensure the nation remains safe and its borders secure.
