Tewari noted that Justice Varma remains listed as a judge on the Allahabad High Court website. He demanded that the government clarify whether the resignation is pending, accepted, or rejected, asking if Parliament can legally initiate impeachment proceedings against a judge whose resignation has not been formally notified.
