Nettle Limited Raises $4.8 Million to Expand AI Insurance Platform
Nettle Limited secured $4.8 million in seed funding led by MTech to expand its AI-driven risk inspection platform in the U.S. and Europe.
Nettle Limited, an AI-driven insurance platform, raised $4.8 million in a seed funding round led by MTech. The investment included participation from Sure Valley Ventures’ second fund, Project A Ventures, Portfolio Ventures, Ventures Together, and several angel investors. This round brings the company's total funding to $6.8 million, following a $2.0 million pre-seed round in March 2025.
Founded in 2024 by Jack Miller and Katya Kinane, the company provides an AI workspace for loss control designed to help commercial insurers identify and analyze physical risk. Nettle claims its platform accelerates risk inspections by five times and is currently used by insurers including Allianz and Brotherhood Mutual across Asia, Europe, and the United States.
The company plans to use the new capital to grow its engineering and go-to-market teams. These resources will support the expansion of Nettle's operations specifically within the United States and European markets.
