Lockheed Martin Tests Kodiak Containerized Rocket Launcher

Lockheed Martin conducted the first live-fire test of its new Kodiak containerized Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) launcher on August 12. The test took place in Huntsville, Alabama, where the system successfully fired a Reduced-Range rocket.

The Kodiak launcher is designed to provide the military with more mobile and nondescript offensive capabilities by housing the rocket system within a containerized format. This design allows for easier transport and deployment while maintaining the strike power of the GMLRS.
