Saudi Aramco Restores Crude Oil Supplies to Europe
Saudi Aramco will restore full crude oil supplies to European refiners in November after attacks disrupted the East-West pipeline in October.
Saudi Aramco will restore full crude oil supplies to European refiners in November following the resumption of operations on the East-West pipeline. The pipeline suffered disruptions in October due to attacks, which prompted the state oil company to inform European refiners that they would receive no crude allocations for that month.
Saudi Arabia typically exports between 700,000 and 800,000 barrels of crude per day to Europe. The sudden loss of these allocations forced European buyers to seek alternative sources to maintain operations. Orlen SA, the largest buyer of Saudi crude in the region, issued more than ten tenders to secure replacement barrels during the outage.
The return to full supply levels is expected to ease market tightness across Europe as the region recovers from the October shortfall.
