NOVVA Group and Mongolia Partner for Green AI Infrastructure
NOVVA Group and Mongolia's Ministry of Digital Development signed an agreement to build clean-powered AI data centers and renewable energy storage in Ulaanbaatar.
The NOVVA Group and Mongolia's Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communications (MDDIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on August 25, 2026, to develop clean-powered AI infrastructure. The agreement was finalized during the Sovereign by Design — Mongolia's Green AI Data Centre Initiative event, held as part of the UNCCD COP17 summit in Ulaanbaatar.
The partnership focuses on the creation of energy-efficient data centers and AI-ready digital infrastructure. To support these workloads, the project will implement renewable energy storage solutions, including solar PV, wind power, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). This initiative follows a technical forum titled Building Mongolia's AI Future held on August 22.
The collaboration supports Mongolia's strategic objective to establish itself as a leading green AI data center hub among dryland economies. The initiative was opened by Prime Minister N. Uchral and signed by MDDIC Minister Nomin Chinbat and NOVVA Managing Director Wenzhuo Zhao.
