The Government of Gujarat conducted simultaneous investment roadshows in Jaipur and Chennai on October 22, 2026, to attract global capital and industrial partnerships for the 11th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2027. Scheduled for January 10-12 in Gandhinagar, the summit will operate under the theme "Viksit Gujarat - Shaping Global Future," focusing on manufacturing, renewable energy, financial services, and emerging technologies.
In Chennai, a delegation led by Minister of State Manisha Vakil and Principal Secretary M Thennarasan met with 21 businesses and institutions, including Ashok Leyland Ltd. and IIT Madras Pravartak. The discussions focused on integrating Tamil Nadu's automotive and electronics expertise with Gujarat's semiconductor and logistics infrastructure. Vakil emphasized that combining the strengths of both states could create new opportunities for innovation and employment.
In Jaipur, officials engaged Rajasthan's traders and entrepreneurs, highlighting Gujarat's policy environment, land availability, and infrastructure hubs such as Dholera. The state government detailed an industrial roadmap for 2047, aiming to contribute USD 3.5 trillion toward India's national target of a USD 30 trillion economy by 2047.
These events are part of a broader outreach campaign running through October and November across various Indian cities. State officials intend to leverage expanding free trade agreements and the synergy between Gujarat's port infrastructure and the industrial strengths of other states to drive manufacturing and trade growth.
