Palantir Revenue Surges 93% Amid Potential Congressional Scrutiny
Palantir reported a 93% increase in second-quarter revenue to $1.94 billion while facing potential congressional investigations if Democrats win the upcoming midterms.
Palantir reported strong second-quarter financial results, with total revenue rising 93% to approximately $1.94 billion. The company saw a significant jump in US commercial revenue, which increased 149% to $764 million, leading the firm to raise its full-year revenue guidance to about $8.15 billion.
Despite the financial growth, the company faces pressure from a broader software sector sell-off and emerging political risks. The Groundwork Collaborative, a progressive think tank, has identified the company as a potential target for congressional investigations should Democrats win at least one chamber of Congress in the upcoming midterms.
Palantir has hired bipartisan lobbyists to manage these risks. However, analysts note that the company's high valuation—approximately 115 times estimated 2026 earnings—leaves little room for error if government contracts are impacted by increased oversight. In contrast to these risks, Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management upgraded the stock, citing potential for outperformance into 2027.
