Bureau of Labor Statistics Projects Growth in Healthcare and Tech

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects significant job growth in healthcare and technology roles through 2035, while telemarketing and clerical positions are expected to decline.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released employment projections on Thursday detailing the expected evolution of hundreds of occupations between 2025 and 2035. The data indicates significant growth for high-paying roles, with a particular emphasis on the healthcare and technology sectors.

Software developers, general operations managers, and medical and health services managers are among the top roles projected for growth. Registered nurses are expected to experience the largest numerical increase in employment, with the addition of 194,700 jobs.

In contrast, the projections suggest a decline for several administrative and sales roles. Telemarketers and order clerks are specifically identified as occupations that will likely see a decrease in employment over the ten-year period.
