Andhra Pradesh Approves 25 Industrial Projects Worth ₹2.08 Lakh Crore

The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board approved 25 industrial projects totaling ₹2.08 lakh crore during its 20th meeting in Amaravati. Chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the board expects these investments to generate 21,627 direct jobs. Data center projects in Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli dominate the approvals, accounting for over 84% of the total investment.

Major projects include a ₹85,200-crore investment by ReNew AP Green Data Center and a ₹450-crore project by AIL Dixon India, the latter of which is projected to create 7,000 jobs. Naidu directed officials to credit industrial incentives into escrow accounts starting in December and mandated the completion of 37 MSME parks by September and the Moolapeta Port by December.

Naidu urged the state to attract investments in emerging sectors such as robotics, lithium batteries, and green ammonia, while calling for aerospace and defense projects near Hindupur and Puttaparthi. He also emphasized the need to counter misinformation regarding the environmental impact of industrial projects and data centers, stating that some groups were portraying industries as polluting units to obstruct development.
