Adobe Launches Professional AI Audio Tools in Firefly Hub

Adobe launched the general availability of three new AI audio tools within its Firefly AI hub: Generate Music, Generate Speech, and Generate Sound Effects. These tools enable professional creators to convert scripts into voiceovers in over 20 languages with adjustable emotion and pacing, create instrumental background music via prompts or video analysis, and produce custom sound effects synced to visual content.

To ensure commercial safety, the company provides a universal license for generated music. The speech tool offers users a choice between Adobe's internal Firefly Speech Model and technology from ElevenLabs Inc. Access is provided through Creative Cloud or a standalone Firefly subscription starting at $10 per month, though a free experience with daily generation allowances is also available.

Beyond audio, Adobe integrated Google's Gemini Omni Flash model into Firefly to support multimodal inputs for accelerated storyboarding. The company also expanded its AI Assistant with new capabilities to create brand kits and storyboards. These updates follow research from the Berklee College of Music showing that 80% of surveyed creators publish video content daily or several times a week, with all respondents utilizing music.
