Anthropic Negotiates $6 Billion Acquisition of Decart AI

Anthropic PBC is negotiating the acquisition of AI startup Decart AI for approximately $6 billion. If completed, the deal would represent the largest acquisition in the history of the AI company.

Anthropic seeks to integrate Decart's specialized software to improve chip efficiency and lower the costs associated with training AI models. The company also intends to leverage Decart's generative video world models to expand its technical capabilities. The deal remains unfinalized and is subject to potential collapse.

Founded in 2023 by Israeli engineers Dean Leitersdorf, Orian Leitersdorf, and Moshe Shalev, Decart AI was previously valued at nearly $4 billion. That valuation followed a $300 million funding round in May 2026 led by Radical Ventures.
