Uraldronzavod Director Critically Injured in Russian Car Bombing

Vladimir Tkachuk, director of drone manufacturer Uraldronzavod, was critically injured in a car bombing near Yekaterinburg following a deadly restaurant attack in Moscow.

A car bomb in Bolshoy Istok, near Yekaterinburg, critically injured Vladimir Tkachuk, the founder and general director of Uraldronzavod. The explosion occurred when a device planted beneath Tkachuk's Mercedes detonated, killing his bodyguard and leaving Tkachuk in grave condition in intensive care.

Uraldronzavod produces the Upyr kamikaze drone, a low-cost FPV tool utilized by Russian forces in Ukraine. The Federal Government of Russia has opened a criminal case for attempted murder but has not officially named a culprit in the attack.

This incident follows a separate bombing at a Moscow restaurant on Saturday that killed five people. While the specific perpetrators of the Tkachuk bombing remain unidentified, Russian officials have blamed Ukraine for a broader series of attacks targeting military figures.
