The Pokémon Company to Open First Western Store in London

The Pokémon Company announced on October 21 that it will open a permanent physical store in London by 2029. This location marks the first permanent official store the company will establish outside of Asia and serves as the first of several planned global expansions.

The retail space will offer exclusive merchandise and unique experiences, functioning as a community hub for both new and long-term fans. While the company has not disclosed the specific address or product offerings, the move represents a shift in strategy toward permanent Western locations. Previous efforts, such as the Pokémon Center in New York City, were short-lived.

Gaku Susai, Chief Product and Experience Officer at The Pokémon Company International, stated that the store is intended to be a place where visitors can engage with the brand regardless of their familiarity with the franchise. The company has not yet confirmed dates or locations for the other planned international stores.
