DJI Launches Osmo 360 II with 8K Video

DJI announced the Osmo 360 II, a second-generation 360-degree action camera, during IFA 2026 in Berlin. Scheduled for global release on September 15, 2026, the device is the first 360 camera to offer native 8K video at 60fps. It features dual 1-inch square sensors with 14.5 stops of dynamic range, 4K slow motion at 240fps, and 16K timelapses.

Hardware improvements include a new system of user-replaceable lenses and improved optical coatings for durability. The camera includes an NFC area for pairing with the DJI Mimo app and software upgrades such as the Spotlight Follow AI tracking tool and AI SuperNight 2.0 for low-light noise reduction. The company also encourages underwater use within the device's 10m waterproof rating.

The Standard Combo is priced at £509, AU$921, or approximately HK$3,899, while an Adventure Combo is available for £639 or AU$1,096. Despite global availability, the camera will not launch in the United States due to pending regulatory authorization and government hostility toward the company, which has previously forced DJI to remove products from its U.S. website.
