Apple iPhone 18 Pro Faces Speaker and Connectivity Issues

Apple Inc. is managing three separate technical failures following the September 18 release of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Users on Reddit and MacRumors forums report a speaker defect characterized by crackling, popping, or clicking sounds during routine tasks like typing, scrolling, or switching applications.

The company released the iOS 27.0.1 update on September 28, which successfully resolved a software bug causing devices to freeze and restart during Face ID failures. However, the update did not fix the speaker noise, and some customers report that replacement hardware exhibits the same issue.

Separately, some iPhone 18 Pro Max users are unable to connect to the AT&T network for calls, texts, or data. Apple has not yet provided a confirmed fix for these connectivity failures.
