iPhone User Loyalty Hits Record 96.4 Percent in US

SellCell reports record-high iPhone brand loyalty and significant loyalty gains for Samsung and Google among US smartphone users.

A survey of more than 5,000 US smartphone users conducted by SellCell found that iPhone brand loyalty has reached a record 96.4 percent. This indicates that only 3.6 percent of users intend to switch brands, marking a significant decrease in churn compared to data from 2019 and 2021.

Android loyalty is currently at 86.4 percent, with Samsung and Google seeing sharp gains since 2021. Samsung loyalty rose to 90.1 percent from 74.0 percent, while Google loyalty increased to 86.8 percent from 65.2 percent.

Among iPhone users who are willing to switch, 67 percent would choose Samsung, with most others opting for Google Pixel. Conversely, 31.5 percent of Android users considering a change would switch to Samsung, 26.8 percent to iPhone, and 21.2 percent to Google Pixel. Users cited price, value, and technology as the primary factors driving their decision to consider a brand switch.
