India and Poland Seek to Triple Bilateral Trade by 2030

India and Poland are expanding cooperation in defense, AI, and semiconductors as they prepare for the mid-December signing of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement.

India and Poland are accelerating industrial and technological cooperation to potentially triple bilateral trade by 2030. Jitin Prasada, India's Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, led a delegation of 12 companies to Warsaw on November 2–3, 2026, to secure partnerships in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and critical minerals.

During the visit, Prasada met with Polish Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski and executives from the WB Group, Billennium, Creotech Instruments, and Boryszew Group. These discussions focused on unmanned aerial systems, quantum technologies, and joint ventures under the Make in India initiative. The engagements occurred as both nations anticipate the signing of the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement in mid-December 2026, which is expected to eliminate tariffs on over 99 percent of Indian exports to the EU.

Complementing these efforts, Polish Ambassador to India Piotr Antoni Switalski reported that recent business forums in New Delhi and Bengaluru involved nearly 300 companies and resulted in 13 contracts and memorandums of understanding. Switalski encouraged Indian firms to use Poland as a gateway to European markets and noted that both nations have agreed to deepen cooperation in defense, solar energy, and green hydrogen.
