UAE Sends 70 Tonnes of Aid to Earthquake-Struck Venezuela

The United Arab Emirates delivered 70 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Venezuela following two earthquakes that caused more than 5,000 deaths. Coordinated by the UAE Aid Agency and the UAE Embassy in Caracas, the shipment consists of medical supplies, tents, and shelter materials intended for the injured and displaced populations.

Venezuela's Vice Minister of Health, Alexandra Josefina Hernández, noted that the UAE was the first country to deliver medical supplies specifically tailored to the requirements of the health ministry. The delivery was overseen by Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency.

UAE Aid Agency teams are now conducting field visits in La Guaira state to assess earthquake damages. Additionally, teams are inspecting warehouses in Caracas to monitor the distribution of the relief supplies.
