Ray White Rural sold the 855-hectare Bon Eden irrigated farming aggregation on Queensland's Darling Downs following a six-month marketing campaign.
Ray White Rural sold the Bon Eden irrigated farming aggregation on Queensland's inner Darling Downs after a six-month expressions of interest campaign. The 855-hectare property comprises four parcels: Bon Eden, Westmeadows, The Bills, and Keeleys Block.
While the official sale price remains undisclosed, estimates place the transaction at approximately $20 million, based on a projected range of $9,000 to $11,000 per acre. The land includes 729 hectares of cultivation, split between 537 hectares of irrigated fields and 192 hectares of dryland. Infrastructure supporting the property includes a 395 megalitre Condamine Alluvium Groundwater licence and 2,240ML of on-farm storage.
Marketing agent James Croft stated that the sale price reflects a strong buyer appetite for high-quality agricultural assets, noting that "There is an certainly appetite among buyers for quality assets."
