Armenia and Indonesia Discuss Industrial Cooperation in Russia
Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan and Indonesian Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita met in Russia to expand trade and high-value industrial production.
Gevorg Papoyan, Armenia's Minister of Economy, met with Indonesia's Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita on July 7, 2026. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the Innoprom international industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
The two ministers discussed expanding trade and business cooperation, specifically focusing on the exchange of technologies and the development of high-value-added production sectors. Papoyan proposed joint initiatives centered on investment programs and the creation of industrial zones to strengthen economic ties.
Additionally, Papoyan introduced the Armenian government's Crossroads of Peace initiative. This program aims to enhance regional connectivity and facilitate cargo transportation to attract further industrial investment and foster trade between the two nations.
