The Helicopter Company Orders Up to 60 Bombardier Jets

The Helicopter Company signed an agreement with Bombardier to acquire 12 business jets with options for 48 more to expand into fixed-wing aviation.

The Helicopter Company signed a Letter of Intent with Bombardier Inc. at the Farnborough International Airshow on July 21, 2026. The agreement establishes a firm order for 12 business jets, consisting of five Challenger 3500, five Global 5500, and two Global 8000 aircraft. The deal includes options to purchase an additional 48 aircraft, potentially bringing the total fleet to 60 jets.

This acquisition marks a strategic shift for The Helicopter Company, a Public Investment Fund company, as it expands from rotary-wing services into fixed-wing business aviation for jet charter and management. The move is designed to support the growing tourism and business sectors in Saudi Arabia under the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative.

The signing ceremony included leadership from both organizations and the Public Investment Fund. Captain Arnaud Martinez, CEO of The Helicopter Company, and Éric Martel, CEO of Bombardier, both attended the event to finalize the partnership.
