Israeli Airstrike Kills Five in Gaza City Apartment

An Israeli airstrike hit a residential building in Gaza City on Saturday, killing at least four people and wounding six others.

An Israeli airstrike struck the al-Asala residential apartment building in the Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City early Saturday, October 3, 2026. The attack occurred during the night without prior warning, causing fires and structural damage across multiple floors.

Medical staff at al-Shifa Hospital and health officials reported that the strike killed at least four to five people and wounded six others. The casualties included four women, among them an elderly Christian woman and her daughter. The Israeli military provided no immediate comment on the operation.

The strike takes place amid heightened tensions following a ceasefire brokered by the United States last year. Israel claims Hamas has been rearming and violating the terms of the agreement, while Hamas denies these allegations and accuses Israel of undermining the peace deal.
