boAt Expands Consumer Electronics Reach into Sri Lanka and Bhutan
boAt entered the Sri Lankan and Bhutanese markets with audio and wearable products as part of a broader strategy to diversify revenue beyond India.
Consumer electronics brand boAt has launched a product suite of personal audio equipment, smartwatches, and charging accessories in Sri Lanka and Bhutan. This expansion follows a fiscal year 2026 in which the company's international revenue more than doubled and its wearables business became profitable.
The move is a central component of the boAt 2.0 corporate roadmap, which seeks to reduce the company's reliance on the Indian market through category diversification and international distribution. To support this growth, the company is utilizing its in-house R&D facility, boAt Labs, to manage product adaptation and localization for new territories.
CEO Gaurav Nayyar stated that the company's ambition is to build the brand into a global consumer lifestyle-tech entity that competes on design and innovation. The company intends to follow a phased, market-led rollout to deepen its presence across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
