Infosys Appoints Ashiss Kumar Dash as CEO Designate
Infosys appointed Ashiss Kumar Dash as CEO designate to succeed Salil Parekh in April 2027 amid a downward revision of its full-year revenue guidance.
Infosys appointed Ashiss Kumar Dash as CEO designate on July 23, 2026. A 30-year veteran of the company, Dash will officially succeed Salil Parekh as Managing Director and CEO on April 1, 2027. Parekh will step down after completing his second term, making him the longest-serving non-founder CEO in the company's history.
The leadership transition coincides with the company's first-quarter FY27 financial results. Infosys reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 7,775 crore, a 12.3% increase year-on-year, and revenue of Rs 48,211 crore. Despite these figures, the company revised its full-year revenue growth guidance downward to 1.5% to 3.0%, causing its American Depositary Receipts to drop 5%.
To manage its workforce during this transition, Salil Parekh announced phased salary hikes beginning in October 2026 for most employees and January 2027 for senior staff. The company also plans to recruit 20,000 freshers this year using an AI-first talent strategy. While attrition rose slightly to 13%, the company is emphasizing an AI-led transformation, with AI services already contributing 8.2% of total revenue.
