John Fetterman Condemns Democratic Party Shift Toward Socialism

Senator John Fetterman condemned the rise of socialism within the Democratic Party, describing the trend as "lunacy." His comments followed a CBS News/YouGov poll showing that 58 percent of Democrats view socialism positively, while only 32 percent view capitalism positively.

Fetterman, who identifies as a "proud free market capitalist," warned that the party is shifting toward socialism after democratic socialists and progressive insurgents won primaries in Colorado, Los Angeles, Michigan, and New York. He specifically criticized the "dirtbag left," calling some Democratic nominees "outrageous" for proposing the abolishment of the border, the police, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In response to Fetterman's social media posts, Senator Mike Lee invited him to join the Republican Party, asserting that Republicans are not socialists and "don't bite."
