Super Micro Computer Shares Rally After Cisco AI Partnership

Super Micro Computer stock surged following a formal partnership with Cisco to integrate high-density server systems into AI infrastructure offerings.

Shares of Super Micro Computer Corp rallied 8.2% on August 25, 2026, after the company announced a formal partnership with Cisco. The agreement integrates Super Micro Computer's high-density liquid- and air-cooled server systems into Cisco's Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA, targeting enterprise, neocloud, and sovereign cloud customers. These solutions, which support NVIDIA's Vera Rubin and HGX Rubin platforms for trillion-parameter model training, are scheduled for release in October 2026.

This latest rally follows a period of volatility, including a 7.5% decline on August 24 and mixed fiscal fourth-quarter earnings reported on August 11. Earlier in the month, on August 12, Super Micro Computer shares had climbed more than 13% after the company reported a fourth-quarter gross margin of 17.5% and forecast fiscal 2027 revenue above Wall Street estimates.

During that same August 12 surge, CoreWeave Holdings Inc. saw its stock rise over 19% after raising annual revenue and capital spending forecasts, reporting a second-quarter revenue backlog of $104.2 billion. While both companies are benefiting from surging demand for AI computing capacity and hyperscaler spending, analysts have noted risks regarding CoreWeave's heavy reliance on debt and a broader industry dependency on sustained capital expenditure from hyperscalers.
