The governments of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on August 4 to increase direct foreign investment between the two nations. Rosan Roeslani, Indonesia's Minister of Investment, and Saudi Arabian Minister of Investment Fahad bin Abduljalil Al-Saif signed the agreement to strengthen cooperation through the exchange of statistical data, regulatory frameworks, and investment information.

The partnership establishes formal mechanisms for joint promotion campaigns, technical knowledge sharing, and private-sector consultations. This collaboration is designed to align Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 modernization agenda with Indonesia's objectives regarding industrialization, downstreaming, and economic transformation.

Between 2021 and the first half of 2026, Saudi Arabia's realized Foreign Direct Investment in Indonesia totaled 126.2 million US dollars.
