Jitendra Singh Says Operation Sindoor Boosted India Defense Exports
Minister Jitendra Singh stated that Operation Sindoor demonstrated the lethality of India's indigenous weapon systems, increasing international interest in domestic defense manufacturing.
Union Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh stated that Operation Sindoor significantly increased international interest in India's indigenous defense manufacturing. Speaking at a public gathering in Udhampur, Singh noted that the performance of the Brahmos missile during the operation demonstrated the quality and lethality of India's weapon systems.
Operation Sindoor was launched by India to target terror infrastructure in Pakistan following a terror attack in Pahalgam. The operation included retaliatory strikes against Pakistani air bases.
Singh highlighted that India's defense production has risen 174 percent since 2014, totaling 1.5 lakh crore rupees in production and 23,000 crore rupees in exports to nations including Indonesia and Vietnam.
