Anti-war protestors repeatedly interrupted the opening remarks of Pete Hegseth, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, during a Senate hearing in Washington. The disruptors called for an end to bombing in Palestine, with one individual shouting that such actions are illegal.
The proceedings were paused four times as the United States Capitol Police escorted the protestors from the room. Senator Susan Collins responded to the chaos by demanding order in the hearing room and requesting that police remove those seeking to disrupt the proceedings.
