The Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates advocated for maritime security and parliamentary diplomacy during the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Tanzania.
The Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates participated in a series of coordination meetings for Gulf, Arab, Asian, and Islamic groups in Arusha, Tanzania. These sessions occurred alongside the Inter-Parliamentary Union's 153rd Assembly and the 218th session of its Governing Council.
Led by Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, the delegation focused on the Assembly's agenda, committee vacancies, and the election of the IPU President. During a consultative meeting for the Islamic Group, members addressed an emergency item proposed by Bahrain regarding maritime security and the freedom of navigation in international straits.
