Netherlands June Exports Grow 3.1 Percent Amid Slowdown

Statistics Netherlands reported that exports grew by 3.1 percent year-on-year in June, marking the slowest growth pace in three months. This figure follows a 4.8 percent increase in May and matches the growth rate recorded in March.

The statistical office noted that increased exports of machinery, electrical equipment, and petroleum products primarily drove the growth. During the same period, imports rose by 1.4 percent year-on-year, fueled by higher inflows of machinery, food and beverages, and petroleum products.

Export conditions improved in August compared to June. This recovery was aided by a smaller contraction in German industrial production, a more positive development of real exchange rates, and improved producer confidence within the Eurozone and Germany.
