Apple Launches iOS 27.3 Beta with Expanded Siri AI

Apple Inc. launched the beta testing phase for iOS 27.3, introducing expanded Siri AI capabilities across iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices. The update integrates AI functionality into core applications, allowing users to create playlists in Music, schedule messages in Messages, and use voice-controlled editing in Photos. AI support also extends to Calendar, Reminders, Safari, Journal, and the Files app, with the company extending these capabilities to third-party developers.

Alongside the AI enhancements, the iOS 27.3 beta 1 update introduces a specialized version of Reachability specifically for the iPhone Duo. This feature addresses user complaints regarding the device's extra-wide outer display by allowing users to swipe the screen horizontally to the left or right to access distant elements, rather than shifting the screen vertically as in standard Reachability.

The update is currently available in developer beta, with a public beta expected shortly. Apple plans to release the final version of iOS 27.3 to the general public next month, likely in mid-December.
