Equifax Shares Rise After 10% Third-Quarter Revenue Growth

Equifax Inc. shares rose 7.4% following a third-quarter revenue increase to $1.693 billion and the announcement of a Mexican credit bureau acquisition.

Equifax Inc. shares rose 7.4% to $170.29 on Tuesday after the company reported third-quarter revenue of $1.693 billion, representing a 10% increase from the previous year. The company stated it "delivered a strong third quarter performance," driven by a 13% increase in U.S. Information Solutions revenue—specifically within financial institutions and auto lending—and a 9% increase in international business.

Despite the growth, the company warned that high interest rates will likely cause weakness in the U.S. mortgage market to persist through the end of 2026. During the quarter, Equifax returned $158 million to shareholders through buybacks and dividends.

To expand its Latin American operations, Equifax announced plans to complete the acquisition of Círculo de Crédito, a Mexican credit bureau, during the fourth quarter.
