Xiaomi Unveils REDMI Note 17 Series with Pro Max
Xiaomi launched the REDMI Note 17 Series featuring a new Pro Max model with a massive 9,210mAh battery and rugged build certifications.
Xiaomi unveiled the REDMI Note 17 Series on August 27, 2026, introducing four new models including the first Pro Max variant. The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G features a 9,210mAh silicon-carbon battery, with an Asian market version reaching 10,000mAh, designed to last up to three days and maintain health for six years.
The Pro Max model includes a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 3,500 nits peak brightness and 100W HyperCharge. The device is built for durability, carrying an IP68 water and dust resistance rating and a 3-meter drop certification. TÜV SÜD awarded the Pro models a 5-star Titan Quality Certification, while SGS S.A. certified the drop resistance.
Despite the battery and build improvements, reviewers noted that the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor and camera system are a performance step down from the previous Note 15 Pro+ model. The series starts at £499 and will not be available in the United States.
