UAE and U.S. Sign Energy and AI Cooperation Agreements

The United Arab Emirates and the United States established a strategic partnership to accelerate collaboration in energy and artificial intelligence through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on November 3, 2025. Doug Burgum, U.S. Secretary of the Interior, signed the agreement with UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber during a meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. The partnership focuses on smart manufacturing, predictive maintenance, and robotics to modernize infrastructure and scale energy production.

Concurrent with the diplomatic agreement, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) launched several commercial initiatives at the ENACT Majlis forum. ADNOC signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Microsoft Corp, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, and XRG PJSC. This alliance aims to deploy AI across ADNOC's value chain for autonomous operations while providing sustainable energy infrastructure to support Microsoft's global data center expansion.

Additionally, ADNOC expanded its partnership with U.S.-based Gecko Robotics Inc through three agreements. These include the deployment of the Cantilever operating system across ADNOC Gas assets via the AIQ joint venture, a framework for local manufacturing of robotic systems in the UAE, and a training program at the ADNOC Technical Academy to develop Emirati talent in robotics and data analysis.
