TotalEnergies to Supply 1 GW Solar Power to Google

TotalEnergies signed two long-term power purchase agreements to supply 1 gigawatt of solar capacity to Google data centers in Texas. The 15-year deals will deliver approximately 28 terawatt-hours of renewable energy from two company-owned projects: the 805 MWp Wichita solar farm and the 195 MWp Mustang Creek solar farm, both located west of Dallas. Construction on these sites is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026.

This partnership addresses the increasing electricity demands driven by artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure while supporting the stability of the Texas ERCOT grid. These agreements follow a separate 1.2 GW deal secured by Clearway Energy Group LLC, a company 50% owned by TotalEnergies, to supply Google data centers across Texas, the Northeast, and the Central United States.

Company representatives stated that the Texas deals represent the largest renewable power purchase agreement volume TotalEnergies has ever signed in the United States. The initiative is designed to support Google's decarbonization goals and ensure a reliable power supply for its expanding digital infrastructure.
