Singapore Non-Oil Domestic Exports Surge 68.4% in September

Enterprise Singapore reports a 68.4% year-on-year surge in non-oil domestic exports for September, driven by AI-related electronic demand and ship structures.

Enterprise Singapore reported that non-oil domestic exports (NODX) surged 68.4% year-on-year in September 2026. This growth follows a revised 46.1% increase in August, contributing to an overall NODX rise of 27.6% for the first nine months of the year.

Electronic exports rose 107.6%, fueled by artificial intelligence-related demand for personal computers, disk media products, and integrated circuits. Non-electronic exports also drove the increase, specifically within the ship and boat structures sector.

Trade expanded across most major markets. Shipments to Hong Kong increased by 112.1%, Taiwan by 96.9%, and the United States by 73.2%, though exports to India fell by 5.6%. Total merchandise trade expanded by 50.8% in September, with total exports and imports rising by 51.5% and 49.9% respectively. Non-oil re-exports grew by 47.8% during the same period.
