Google Launches Connected Apps Platform for Search and Gemini
Google launched the Connected Apps Platform to allow developers to integrate third-party services into both Google Search and Gemini through a single deployment process.
Google launched the Connected Apps Platform, a new system enabling developers to integrate their services into both Google Search and Gemini. The platform introduces a build once approach, removing the previous requirement for developers to create separate integrations for each service. Developers can now choose to deploy their applications to Gemini, Search, or both using a central dashboard for testing, submission, and performance tracking.
Google has already deployed more than 50 connected apps within Gemini, including services from Adobe, Experian, Localiza, and Peloton. These integrations will expand to Google Search in the coming weeks. The meditation app Calm is also joining as a partner across both platforms.
The Connected Apps Platform is currently available in public preview for developers in the United States who sign up via a waitlist.
