Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Target $1 Billion Trade by 2030

Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are developing a strategic roadmap to increase mutual trade turnover to $1 billion by 2030.

The Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan and the government of Azerbaijan are developing a strategic program to increase mutual trade turnover to $1 billion by 2030. This initiative follows a period of steady growth, with bilateral trade rising 14.6% in 2025 to $307.3 million and reaching $170.3 million in the first half of 2026.

During a meeting between Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, and Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Rashad Mammadov, the two nations discussed the implementation of a new economic roadmap to sustain this momentum. The roadmap aims to execute existing agreements and create new investment opportunities for businesses in both countries.

To facilitate direct contact between regional business communities and launch new projects, the two nations are organizing the fourth Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Interregional Forum. The event is scheduled to take place in Tashkent on August 22.
